Going to try a Neti Pot for allergies

I going to buy a Neti Pot and start to use it before my first allergy season of the year. I want to see if washing out my nasal passages helps. Maybe if I can rinse out some of the tree pollen, I will feel better. The plan is to start before the allergy season starts, before the allergic reaction really gets hold. Perhaps I can stop my immune system going all out, and blunt the symptoms.

A Neti Pot is a usually made of porcelain and looks like a flat lidless teapot. You put a salt solution in it, pour the fluid in one nostril, and then it flows out of the other. Sounds pretty weird to me, but I am assured by friends, who use it use it every day, that it is wonderful. We shall see.
